In a construction only contract PEP will undertake construction in all disciplines – it is possible that PEP would be working in a single discipline – civil, mechanical or electrical. In this approach the customer will provide the design and drawings and PEP will supply and install according to these drawings.
Turnkey construction is similar to construction – the key difference being in turnkey construction PEP will deliver all the disciplines. In this approach the customer will provide the design and drawings and PEP will supply and install according to these drawings. PEP’s experience in project management makes PEP an ideal general contractor to undertake a turnkey construction project.
PEP personnel with collectively over a century of experience will be able to engineer a solution for the customer. This is the same as a turnkey or EPC approach – where PEP will do the engineering, procurement and construction of the works.
PEP works with a number of fabricators in New Zealand and Fiji to deliver products for the customers in the industries PEP works in. To complement the above capability PEP has a MoU with a major ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified Thai fabricator who also operates a yard close to the port – this makes possible the manufacture and shipping of large modules.
PEP will assemble a team of tradespersons and appropriate supervision and manage a shutdown, primarily focussing on the mechanical and electrical disciplines. PEP teams ability to apply project management disciplines to a shutdown ensures on time or sooner completion of the shutdown, returning the plant to revenue generating on schedule.
PEP will provide trades persons and appropriate supervision for construction work. The primary focus is on the mechanical and electrical disciplines. PEP can supply tradespeople from New Zealand, Pacific Islands and Asia.
Project management services are provided to a wide range of customers. However PEP’s preferred areas are the same as where PEP provides design and build services to its customers. This means the customer receives services from experienced practitioners – PEP personnel actually use these project management disciplines in the delivery of PEP “hard money” contracts. In using PEP, the customer benefits from the experiences gained & lessons learned by the PEP personnel while they deliver PEP “hard money” contracts. This is not that readily available from a pure project management services provider. Project management includes project & contract management consultancy services.
